The health department is able to issue temporary Medicaid cards to pregnant women who are financially eligible. The temporary Medicaid card will only pay for routine prenatal care for a period of up to 60 days while the client is awaiting determination of Medicaid eligibility. The card will be issued at the time of application if the applicant is eligible. Please call 883-7411 for an appointment.
