Birth/Death Certificates

All certificates of birth and deaths occurring in Ste. Genevieve County are filed with the County Registrar through the health department.

Computer generated copies can be purchased from the health department approximately 6-8 weeks following the birth or death.

Currently, most certified certificates are available for deaths occurring after 1983 and births after 1920.

Fees are as follows:

Death Certificates:

$13.00 for the first copy and $10.00 for each subsequent copy purchased at the same time as the first copy.

Birth Certificates:

$15.00 for each certified copy.

Valid identification required. Local Checks only.

Please be aware that we cannot make any changes or corrections on vital records. Corrections must be made by the Bureau of Vital Records in Jefferson City, MO.

Community Services Forum

Mission Statement:

The Community Services Forum seeks to develop Ste. Genevieve County as a healthy community through empowering its citizens, coordinating services and resources and addressing community needs. The forum achieves these objectives by a collaboration among members from public and private sectors - social agencies, health care providers, educational institutions, local government and business and industry, as well as concerned individual citizens.

Monthly meetings are held at 8:00 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month at the Ste. Genevieve County Health Department. For further information, please contact one of the following board members:

Diet/Weight Control

Obesity is a hot subject on the news these days. Anyone wanting assistance in monitoring their weight or advice on diet and weight control may contact the health department for assistance.

Our nutritionist and nurses will be happy to assist you in developing a healthier lifestyle. Our nutritionist can also assist anyone with special diet needs such as those with diabetes or needing a low salt/low fat diet.
