  • Total Cholesterol – a finger stick screening for a total cholesterol count only. Suggested donation of $3. No fasting required.
  • Lipid Panel – a finger stick test for a breakdown. Appointments are required. There is a $15 charge. Fasting from at least midnight the night before is required.

Blood Pressure – Walk-ins will be served any time if a nurse is available. Appointments suggested.

Hemoglobin – A finger-stick blood screening for anemia. Appointments suggested.

Blood Sugar - A finger-stick blood screening for diabetes. Appointments suggested. Fasting from at least midnight the night before is required.

Other Lab Tests

Blood can be drawn for some other lab tests for those who are underinsured or have no health insurance. The specimens are mailed to a lab and the physician receives the lab results in about one week. Patients must have a signed order from their physician and an appointment must be scheduled on a Tuesday morning. Patients are required to pay for these tests prior to having blood drawn.

Blood can also be drawn for certain sexually transmitted diseases. The specimens are mailed to the state laboratory in Jefferson City. Results are usually back in a week to 10 days. No charge.

Please speak with a public health nurse at 883-7411.
