All certificates of birth and deaths occuring in Ste. Genevieve County are filed with the County Registrar through the health department.

Computer generated certified copies can be purchased from the health department approximately 6-8 weeks following the birth or death.

Currently, most certified certificates are available for deaths occuring after 1983 and births after 1920.

Fees are as follows:

Death Certificates: $13.00 for the first copy and $10.00 for each subsequent copy purchased at the same time as the first copy.

Birth Certificates: $15.00 for each certified copy.

Valid Identification required. Local Checks only.

Please be aware that we cannot make any changes or corrections on vital records. Corrections must be made by the Bureau of Vital Records in Jefferson City, MO.
